German trailer and muck and slurry equipment manufacturer Fliegl has added a 6.0m-wide disc chain harrow to the portfolio.
The frame on the in-house made machine comprises four sets of steel discs on a heavy-duty flexible chain with a weight from 80-120kg/m. Designed to follow ground contours, the company reckons it provides a more aggressive action to a conventional disc harrow to finely chop hard crop residues, such as maize stubbles.
Operating at speeds from 10-15km/hr, maximum output is claimed to be around 9.0ha/hr and the roughly 4.0t machine folds to 3.0m for transport.
We understand that 9.0m and 12.0m models are in development. In the meantime, sales and service manager Nick Dale of Fliegl UK is interested to hear from potential customers for the current 6.0m version.
