The 187.5mm spaced trailing shoes on the Skate SD, the latest version of the slurry distributor, are spaced at a narrow 187.5mm. The closer spacing is suitable for applying slurry to row crops.
Currently offered in working widths of 12m and 15m, in the future, the cylinders of the distributor arms switch to the floating position during slurry application. The company says that this results in optimal ground contour following and a more even distribution of the forces on the linkage.
At the end of a run, the pressure on the hydraulic cylinders of the side arms is released (push-button control) and the distributor swings up into the headland position.
