Described as more compact and offering a larger loading capacity than its predecessor, the Tera-Vitesse CFS, the three-model range of CFS Magnon forage wagons launched at Agritechnica are now available in the UK.
New features on the three models; CFS430 (42m³), CFS470 (46m³) and CFS530 (52m³), include the Exact-Cut cutting unit. Equipped with 48 double-sided knives, the theoretical cutting length is 35mm and the unit has a new knife protection system.
The hydraulically swivelling front panel is also new. When the loading process starts it swivels into the loading space. As soon as this is full the front panel swivels automatically towards the front and provides another 5.0m³ of loading capacity. The front panel also automatically swivels to the rear to enable fast and complete emptying of the cargo space.
The hydraulically-powered pick-up concept, another new feature, comprises six rows of V-shaped plastic tines. The steel strippers mounted between the tines are designed to ensure an optimum material flow and prevent grass from wrapping around inside the pick-up.
All three models are equipped with a hydraulic chassis. The Magnon CFS430 and 470 models are fitted with a tandem chassis with an axle load of 20.0t, the Magnon CFS530 model has a tridem chassis with an axle load of 30.0t. The largest possible tyre size is 800/45R30.5, and the control system and ISObus terminal have been redesigned.
Replacing the Tera-Vitesse range from next season, Magnon prices start from £119,114 + VAT for the CFS430.
