The overlap is altered by changing the position of the pivot pin. To achieve the sub-4.0m transport, the 1010 has ‘Vector’ folding. This uses the hydraulic breakback hydraulic rams to tilt the mowers rearward. Hydraulic end guards also do their part in reducing the height on the 2.3t back mower.

While this ‘Vector’ feature is not needed on the smaller 8300 (8.10/8.30m) and 9500 (8.90/9.10m), they do benefit from other tweaks to the design. For instance, the main gearbox has been shunted back 75mm to produce a flatter pto angle between tractor and mower. It has also straightened the driveline out to the sides.
