Czech cultivator and drill maker Farmet launched its first strip-till drill at TechAgro. Developed in conjunction with Czech engineering students at Prague University, the result is built around a fixed frame, which says Farmet, results in a simple, but lightweight and strong design. Cultivating to a maximum depth of 35cm, with the option to apply fertiliser into the root zone, the machine is available in both 6 and 8-row maize versions for drilling on row-width spacings from 70 to 75cm. Both are supplied with seed from a front-mounted hopper, but the strip-till can also go behind the company’s newly-launched Falcon SW (Seed Wagon). Prices of the six-row strip-till on show start from around €32,000. B
