After an absence from the trailer market of some 14 years, Bunning is set to re-enter the arena.
Probably best known for its range of rear-discharge muck-spreaders, the Norfolk manufacturer chose Lamma as the launchpad for its new range of 14t-20t tandem axle grain and silage trailers.
On first appearances the new models might look a bit dated and there’s a good reason for that. Using the ‘If it ain’t broke…’ approach, the company has employed the same basic design employed with its early-2000s trailers but everything has apparently been beefed up – 150mm x 300mm box-section being the starting point for the chassis.
The new body design includes a deeper top-rail and chunkier corner posts with a single five-stage tip-ram firing it up into the air. ADR running gear with commercial spec. 420mm x 180mm air/oil brakes is standard while leaf-springs on the axles and drawbar keep things running smoothly. ABS-equipped anchors are an option.
Price for a standard 16-tonner is £29,699 including high-level LED tail lights and 560mm wide BKT tyres.
