‘Being a farmer in 10 years’ will be the theme at next year’s SIMA Show in Paris (Feb 26 to Mar 2).  And it’s this focus on the medium term, as well as recognising the present trends in farm machinery development, that was among the key criteria when judges settled on the SIMA Innovation Award winners for 2017. The names of the two gold, five silver and 18 special mention winners were announced in Paris earlier this week, and, given the current need to reduce our impact on the world’s soils, it seems highly appropriate that the top two awards went to technology specifically targeted at improved soil protection.  For a full list of the Award winners, scroll through the picture panel below.
