Pöttinger has added three new functions to its Harvest Assist app to further optimise the grass silage process and boost performance.
The first allows the baler operator to enter the number of bales made in each field. This allows drivers of the collection vehicles to see how many need to be collected. If there are several bale collection teams, each driver knows immediately which fields they still need to visit and how many bales have already been removed.
The second new function is for navigating to the clamp. In addition to providing navigation to the field, the navigation function also shows the route back to the clamp. A new one can be added and navigated to directly using Google Maps, eliminating the need to send locations.
The third new function is the ‘Other machines’ category where bale collection machinery and forage harvesters can be added. Pöttinger says that this provides all operators in the harvest fleet with a clear overview of where each machine is working.
The additional functions are available now, and the free app, which is for both iOS and Android, can be installed on all harvesters, tractors, forage wagons and loaders.
