The organisers of the EuroTier international livestock machinery show have pulled the plug on a physical event at the Hannover Fairgrounds from February 9 to 12, 2021, which will now be a digital-only edition.

Originally planned to take place this month (November 17 to 20), but postponed last June to the February 2021 dates, a statement just issued by the German Agricultural Society (DLG)  blames the continuing uncertain international situation in conjunction with the corona pandemic.

Next February’s digital edition plans to offer visitors an extensive technical programme and networking opportunities. EuroTier project manager Karl Schlösser says it is important to make the entry into the digital world as easy as possible.

“After a one-time online registration, visitors can obtain information on the products and services of the exhibitors, contact them directly and actively participate in numerous events and discussions of the technical program,” he says.

155,000 visitors and nearly 2,600 exhibitors attended the last EuroTier in 2018. Prefer to see all the latest telehandlers, wheeled loaders, muck, slurry, feeding, bedding and milking equipment at a real show? The next event, which we are informed will be a hybrid one, will take place from November 15 to 18, 2022, at the usual venue in Hannover.

As things currently stand, the Italian EIMA is still preparing to welcome visitors to the Bologna Fairgrounds in February 2021, and Agritechnica is still on the agenda later next year as a ‘live’ event (November 14 to 20, 2021).
