PFG America, Deutz-Fahr’s North American tractor distributor, enjoyed the global honour of launching two new smaller-framed 6 Series tractors.
Previewed at this week’s National Farm Machinery show in Louisville, Kentucky, the new 126hp 6130 and 136hp 6140, which are aimed at mixed and dairy farms, fit between the larger 6 Series models and the smaller 5 and 5G variants.
The engine is a 3.8-litre, four-pot SCR Stage IV version, and customers can choose from a powershift or TTV (CVT) transmission. The front axles are made specifically for the two newcomers, and the 6140 TTV comes with front axle suspension.
Both models are equipped with integrated front axle brakes, and the SDD steering system on all models halves the steering wheel rotations to turn the front wheels. An adjustable air-suspended seat is part of the standard spec and SDF reckons that the hydro silent-block suspension system on the all-new cab reduces noise and vibration levels by up to 40% compared to traditional rubber isolation blocks.
The closed centre, load sensing hydraulic system generates 121lit/min (four rear remote valves are standard on all models), the lift capacity of the electronically operated rear linkage is nearly 7.0t, and a roof window is fitted as standard for loader work. The options list includes a factory-fitted front linkage/PTO.
