This year marks the 100th year of trading in Britain for the Swedish dairy equipment specialist. The company will celebrate this milestone at next month’s Dairy-Tech show.
The Stoneleigh Park celebrations will have a party theme (much like a birthday) and a cake will be cut on the stand at midday.
“The UK is very important for DeLaval, and our dealer network has been the backbone of our British success, helping us to forge strong relationships with farmers,” explains UK & Ireland sales territory manager Ciaran Murphy.
Some UK dealers have worked with the company since the very beginning, and still work with farms that installed DeLaval equipment in the 1920s.
“Operating in the northwest of England and Scotland, Mathers is the longest standing DeLaval dealer in the world, having been with the brand since 1923.”
For the record, DeLaval was founded 130 years ago by Gustav de Laval.
