Opico will show the Maschio SC Pro-Bio rotary cultivator at LAMMA 2023, next week. The shallow working machine breaks down and incorporate crop residues, cover crops and green manures.
Suitable for tractors between 110hp and 170hp, working widths are 2.8m or 3.1m, and the six ‘L’ type blades per flange can be set at 540rpm or 1000rpm with a rotor speed of up to 300rpm.
Working at speeds of up to 10km/hr, plant debris is mulched and mixed with fine soil in the top 3.0-6.0cm. Depth control is taken care of by four wheels and to aid aeration the bonnet adjusters can be adjusted hydraulically from the tractor seat.
“Adding a Maschio front flail mower to the operation can further improve mulching and organic matter breakdown, particularly in thick cover,” comments product manager Dominic Burt.
