New technology designed to simplify data recording and transfer is one of the main updates
on Case-IH’s latest Quadtrac and Steiger AFS Connect series tractors.
Benefitting from similar cab control upgrades to those introduced initially on the 2019-launched Magnum AFS Connect series, there are eight Quadtrac AFS Connect tracked tractors from 525-692hp (max.), and six Steiger AFS Connect wheeled models from 469-558hp (max.).
The main news, AFS Connect, enables two-way data transfer between the machine and the farm office computer or at any location when using a mobile device. Powered by three system components: the Pro 1200 display, Vision Pro operating system and Vector Pro receiver, users can log in to AFS Connect to view current field operations, fleet information, agronomic data and more, as if they were present in the cab.
Inside the cab, the new Multicontroller armrest provides eight control buttons, encoder knob for full fingertip control and new joystick (with four programmable hot keys), new heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, variable-rate steering system with adjustable steering ratios for faster field turns and a programmable 360-degree lighting package.
The new optional saddle fuel tanks available on the Quadtrac 470/500/540 and Steiger 500 AFS Connect tractors increases capacity from 1,230 to 1,779 litres.
Complying with Stage V regs without a DPF, the oil change service interval of the FPT motor is 600 hours, and daily service points can be reached from ground level.
There is no change on the transmission front and both PowerDrive powershift and CVXDrive continuously-variable transmission options (CVXDrive available for Steiger 420/470/500 and Quadtrac 470/500/540 models) continue to be available.
