The 126 degrees of folding on Kuhn Farm Machinery’s FC3115D (3.1m) vertical folding mower conditioner results in compact transport and reduced loading on the tractor’s rear wheels.
Targeted at both livestock farmers and contractors, other features include the Lift-Control suspension system, non-stop safety breakaway, the maintenance-free OptiDisc cutter bar and the Fast-Fit quick release blade system.
The suspension system not only provides precise ground following, says Kuhn, but also provides an effective safety mechanism, whereby the machine moves backwards and upwards if hitting an obstacle before moving swiftly back into work.
The conditioning unit is a heavy duty pivoting steel finger system. Adaptable for all crop types and situations, conditioning intensity is adjustable by switching between two rotor speeds and/or setting the conditioning hood in one of five positions.
Fast-Fit allows blades to be changed quickly using a simple lever, and this model can also be fitted with the company’s Triple 5 reinforced blades.
The FC3115D will be launched and demonstrated at Grassland & Muck 2020 in May.
