Kongskilde Industries’ owner, DLG Group has entered into an agreement to sell the grass and soil activities of Kongskilde Agriculture to CNH Industrial. The transaction comprises a transfer of assets and brands (Kongskilde, Överum and JF), including all of the production activities in Kutno, Poland, Överum, Sweden, a lease contract of production activities in Hudson, Illinois, North America, and other facilities in the EMEA, APAC and NAFTA regions. The transaction is subject to various closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and providing there are no hiccups then New Holland Agriculture will quickly add implement product lines to its portfolio. “The acquisition of the tillage, seeding and hay and forage activities of Kongskilde adds a key product range that will further broaden New Holland Agriculture’s product offering within the agricultural machinery sector,” says brand president Carlo Lambro of New Holland Agriculture. In the meantime, Kongskilde will continue to operate through its current sales organisation and its dealer and importer network ensuring customer support. “This agreement will provide growth opportunities and create a strong platform to develop the Kongskilde business and its brands and we will also gradually integrate their products in the New Holland portfolio,” adds Mr Lambro. “We are satisfied that there will be a new strong owner of Kongskilde Agriculture,” says chairman Kim Balle of Kongskilde and COO of DLG Group. “CNH Industrial will continue to service Kongskilde grass and soil customers and end-users, while developing the business further. The transaction will also enable DLG to focus on the development of our two remaining business areas Kongskilde Industry and Kongskilde Grain and release of their full potential.”
