Pöttinger says the lack of any soil-engaging discs or tines on its new range of universal Terrasem Classic drills makes them easy to pull. Available in working widths of 4.0, 6.0m, 8.0m and 9.0m, power requirements range from 110-320hp.
Designed to work in well-prepared seedbeds, at the front of all four is a levelling board and spring-loaded track eradicators.
The pressure of the dual disc coulter (two discs with a single coulter mounted on a parallel linkage) can be varied from 40-120kg and the drills can also be fitted with fertiliser coulters. A tyre packer completes the job at the rear.
The seed hopper on the 4.0m and 6.0m models holds 3,000 litres (3,950 litres with extensions). Hopper capacity increases to 4,000 litres on the 8.0m and 9.0m versions (and all fertiliser models), and 5,100 litres with extensions.
The width of all four models reduces to 3.0m for transport.
