A record 200+ classic and vintage tractors, including a Ford 7810 Silver Jubilee and an International 1455XL, have been entered for the latest online auction organised by Dutch firm VDI Auctions.

Classic highlights include the articulated 1997-made and 350hp John Deere 8870 (main picture), the starting bid of which is €7,500.

A tractor that will excite Ford fans is the 7810 Silver Jubilee, which marked the 25th anniversary of the Basildon plant in 1989. VDI Auctions has sold 5-6 similar models over the years.

Bidding for the current tractor started at €5,000 and has so far reached €16,000. We suspect it could continue to rise for this rare six-pot model (serial number BC180000, which comes with a front loader and wheel weights.

An equally rare tractor is the Trac 1014 (twin drive) from Kramer Allrad, of which it is believed only around 210 were ever made before production ended in 1980.

Three models were initially offered, the 1014, 1014S and 1014TS, followed by fourth turbocharged variant in 1975. Power to the 1014TS entered for the auction comes from a 121hp six-pot Deutz block. Bidding for this model, which has been repainted and stands on four 600/65R38 boots, has reached €8,000.

The highest current bid on the International 1455XL, another classic highlight, currently stands at €11,000, and the eight MB-Tracs are up for grabs include a 900, 1000, 1100, 1300 and 2 x 1500s. Bidding for the 100hp six-pot Mercedes-Benz powered MB-Trac 1000 currently stands at €8,750.

Based in Deurne, to the east of the Dutch city of Eindhoven, VDI Auctions specialises in selling new and used tractors, construction equipment and forest machinery.

The number of vintage and classic tractors entered for the auction, which is held twice a year in April and September, continues to rise. At the first one, five years ago, there were 50-60 tractors. By April 2019 it had increased to 110 and at the last auction in September 2019 167 tractors.

This month’s total of 200+ tractors is a new record and the company hopes to keep the momentum going at the next online auction in September, 2020.

The tractors are bought by customers from all around the world, including Canada, North America and Asia, but the majority end up with new owners in Europe, and the company has shipped numerous tractors to the UK and Ireland.

The current online auction ends on April 20, 2020. More details, pictures and video:
