With big 10,000-litre pumps now becoming more commonplace on slurry gear, Vogelsang has developed a new distribution head better able to deal with large volumes of liquid.
Rather than the rigid steel domed cover used before, a plastic version is used which can flex as pressures build, increasing the air intake aperature to match the greater flow rates. This is said to improve the eveness of application between the 16 to 40 outlets and helps to avoid the breathers blocking.
As before each of the three lobes of the distribution rotor covers three hose outlets at a time turning according to flow rates to provide a stead feed of liquid, accurate application rates and a shearing effect for fibrous material. Price of the new unit is £5,500.
