Worcestershire pressure-washer maker Brian Nixon had its usual array of pressure-washers and steam cleaners on display at the event but tucked away in the corner was one of the company’s best kept secrets – a pto-powered unit.
The firm reports increasing interest from farmers wanting to use the linkage-mounted machine not only as a wash-down tool but also as a drain-jetter. Because it can produce much higher pressures than a typical electrically-driven version (up to 3625psi), when equipped with a jetter nozzle to pull the hose up drains and cut out roots and debris, it can be used as the ideal clearance tool.
Standard versions are kitted out with 50m of hose and a shorter, larger bore length with suction strainer to draw water from the nearest ditch, trough or tank. Prices start from £1400.
