Many of the updates first seen on the long wheelbase Puma 185-240 tractors launched earlier this year have now migrated down the power scale to the short wheelbase Puma 140-175 and Maxxum 115-150. This includes the redesigned cab entrance with the new family-style aluminium steps, which are illuminated at night for a safe exit.
Many of the new interior cab features found inside both ranges also come from their larger cousins, including a new DAB radio, automotive-type trim and cool box. There is a new phone mount (optional tablet mount) with USB power ports and the low-mount windscreen wiper not only improves visibility on Multicontroller and CVXDrive models, but also increases the coverage area by 60%.
New options for the Puma include a hood mounted camera. Visible through the AFS Pro 700 display, this improves view to front hitch and front loader attachments. There is also a 360-degree LED package.
Other updates include a leather steering wheel and the new loader joystick can be used to control the new L series front loaders, and gear and direction changes.
CVXDrive models benefit from improved shuttle and acceleration/deceleration behaviour, which when used with the new front loader, can improve cycle times. There is enhanced drive pedal sensitivity, greater Multicontroller sensitivity and position detection, plus the addition of cruise control pedal override.
Externally, the new tractors benefit from better top link stowage ergonomics and hydraulic connections, making life easier when coupling and disconnecting implements. There are also new LED beacons and marker lights, plus a new optional air-line connection above the steps for use with a blow-off gun and for daily radiator and filter clean-down.
Available with three levels of specification; Selection, Advanced and Professional, the new models will be available early 2022.
