The completion of the first phase of a new purpose-built manufacturing facility at Ahoghill, Co Antrim, provides the Blaney Group with a significant boost in production capacity of farm implements and Quad-X ATV equipment.
Located just 100m from the existing manufacturing plant, the new facility also houses the firm’s precision engineering company (Blaney Gears), and provides extra yard space and some warehousing and spare parts storage.
The focus at the existing manufacturing plant is now on metal fabrication, with greater capacity for laser cutting, folding, bending, CNC machining and welding (company recently installed one of the most advanced robotic welding cells in Ireland).
“We are excited to be looking forward to continuing to innovate, develop and to build world class products,” says owner Sean Blaney. “The new facility is a fantastic addition and a credit to all our hard-working teams of technicians, craftsmen and customer service.”
Due to be completed shortly, the next phase of the investment programme will include some restructuring and further investment at Blaney Group sites in Ahoghill.
