Berthoud Sprayers offered one of the showstoppers with its Collection Spectre S self-propelled machines – but don’t expect to see this exact model in a UK field.
Featuring the hydraulic lifting front cab that the company says is best suited to this market, the 5200 litre sprayer (the range starts at 4000 litres) is available with steel or aluminium booms up to 38m. The all-black styling matches the latest trailed ranges and it comes with Deutz six-cylinder 244hp engine and hydro-pneumatic suspension. The height adjustable chassis for high clearance work won’t be offered in the UK, and the company is also looking at the possibility of narrower track widths for potato work etc – the standard is 2.0-2.7m. Berthoud continues to develop its suite of technology and PWM plus Sniper spot spraying are options. The company will also still offer its mid-cab Raptor range in the UK.
