The technical details are under wraps, but the well-known Czech manufacturer is about to start testing an in-house designed and developed rubber-tracked chassis on a 12.0m Efecta CE drill.
All it is prepared to disclose for now is the tracked chassis is called the Floatrax and the width of the belts is 610mm.
The reason for developing the rubber-tracked solution is easily explained. Soil compaction is a frequently discussed issue and farmers are aware that tracks reduce soil compaction and increase machine throughput in wet conditions, is the message.
With hundreds of tracked tractors in the fields, the company reckons there is interest in fitting tracks to trailed machines. Providing this season’s tests prove successful, then the plan is to implement the tracked chassis on other machines in the Bednar portfolio.
