Kent farm machinery dealership Arter Bros, which has served the county’s farmers for more than 130 years, is seeking potential purchasers from all corners of the country and beyond for its parts stocks and workshop tools/equipment, as the firm’s directors complete the closure of their business after a protracted four-year planning process for the redevelopment of their premises.

The long-established company was a Massey Ferguson dealer from 1949-2007, and holds a vast array of MF spares, parts books and specialist tools for machines ranging from modern day models right back to tractors, combines and implements from the 1950s. “After a protracted period of negotiations for planning on our site, we are now looking to disperse the remaining parts stocks we still hold,” says Cliff Arter. “There are also some specialist tools for Massey Ferguson equipment.”

The clearance sale includes genuine spares for 35, 100, 200, 300, 500, 600, 3000, 3300, 3400, 6100, 6200 and 6400 series tractors, 780, 788, 500, 525 and Danish-built combines, 10, 20, 124 and 128 balers, 29, 30 and 34 drills, 32 and 732 mowers and 19 and 712 muck spreaders, as well as implements from other makers such as Vicon. Offers are also invited for complete stock, and for MF service tools. Potential purchasers for all or part of the parts stocks are invited to contact Cliff Arter on 01227 831356 or email sales@arterbros.co.uk
