Opico will show the latest version of the Alpego DMAX 800 (8.0m) power harrow at LAMMA 2025 later this month.

Fresh from its launch at EIMA in Italy, main updates include the redesigned side panels with wearproof skids to create the optimal soil flow towards and under the rear rollers, and the new rubber roller is said to ensure maximum performance even on wet and sticky soils.

The central join of the two power harrow beds is now offset to the join in the two rear rollers. Opico says that this greatly reduces the ridge of soil that is left compared to when the join in the beds is in line with the join in the rear rollers.

Alpego’s long history of making 8.0m power harrows dates back to 2001. This the previous version. The new model will be on the Opico stand at LAMMA.

Like all the wider power harrows from the Italian manufacturer, the 8.0m model is fitted with Twin Force MAX rotors, which use wide spaced bearings to strengthen the driveline. This is claimed to result in ‘unbeatable reliability’ when used with tractors up to 500hp, giving Alpego the confidence to offer a three-year warranty on the range.

AI-Guard is also worth a mention. This provides in cab monitoring of the driveline as well as alerting the operator to upcoming service intervals. The DMAX 800 weighs 5.3t when fitted with the new rubber roller. It folds to a transport width of 2.5m.

Opico, which took over the UK distribution of Alpego products in April this year, will also use the NEC to show several more machines from the Italian manufacturer. These include the TR56 and TL50 flail mowers, a 3.0m Jet X combi drill and the 3.0m IZ Inversa stone burier.
