Alpego UK’s search for a plough to complete the product portfolio for the UK and ROI is over. The company has partnered with Italian firm Moro Aratri to sell a range of Alpego Moro ploughs from the 5 furrow (4+1) in-furrow mounted Warrior for 200hp tractors, to the 9 furrow (8+1) in-furrow semi-mounted Dragon (up to 550hp).

Several model variations are available; mounted in-furrow only, mounted in-furrow/on-land and a semi-mounted range of on-land or in-furrow, with plans for a wagon-style plough to be added sometime this year. Standard equipment on the current ranges includes a patented floating lower linkage crossbar and patented hydraulic transport/depth wheel system, and a 3-year/3000-hour warranty on the beam and headstock. The on-land/in furrow ploughs feature a patented pivoting headstock (plough pivots like a trailer for transport and locks for field operations). The standard spec also includes road lights, auto balancing memory on turn over system, shear bolt system, and up to 70cm of variable width adjustment. The list of options includes a patented system for removing the top link quickly for the transport system, a hydraulic auto reset for stony conditions, and a system invented by Moro to fold the in-furrow plough in half for reduced transport length (max 6 furrows). The official launch of the Alpego Moro ploughs will be at LAMMA.
