Fendt will show a 360° camera system camera system designed to eliminate any blind spots for combine harvester operators. Available for 2016 versions of Fendt’s X and P-Series combines, the system sees four ultra-wide cameras equipped with 185° lenses attached to all four sides of the machine. Intelligent software flattens the four fish-eye images and combines them into a single image. Providing the operator with a bird’s eye perspective of the complete machine, the image can be displayed in black and white on the Varioterminal 10.7, as a full-screen or quarter-screen image. Up to now, the X and P-Series combines were only available with reversing cameras as well as cameras on the unloading auger and the drawbar to monitor machine operation. Fendt says the new 360° camera system provides a tremendous increase in safety all around the combine.
