At the French SIMA show earlier this year, New Holland top man Carlo Lambro spoke of plans to add arable machines to the firm’s product range, whether through an acquisition or a partnership. His message was to expect an announcement in nine months, which suggested some news at Agritechnica this week. We can confirm there is no arable equipment on the company’s stand. Speaking at a New Holland press conference, Mr Lambro said there is no news for now. “But we are still very keen to add ploughs, drills and cultivators to our European portfolio,” he added. So, when can we expect to see something? “There is no time-frame,” was the response. By Steven Vale
