AGCO is looking to drive its business forward by creating two separate and exclusive full-line distribution channels. The first, Massey Ferguson, will come as no surprise, while the second will see Fendt and Valtra sold through a single and exclusive full-line network. The first signs of this are already visible at Agritechnica this week where Fendt and Valtra tractors are parked side by side on the huge AGCO stand. Speaking at a Valtra press conference earlier today, AGCO boss Martin Richenhagen said there will be changes and that this is the start of a long journey. Full details have yet to surface, but what we can confirm is that the parent company is planning to add more full-line products to both MF and Fendt/Valtra channels, which at some point in the future could possibly include a complete range of arable kit. However, there are no plans to add these, or the current range of Fendt grass machines, to Valtra’s portfolio. By Steven Vale
