It is not coming just yet, but AGCO is developing a new range of high-hp tractors to sit above the current flagship models in the Valtra S an MF 8700 series. Mentioned briefly at a Valtra press meeting at Agritechnica, we understand the new range could include three models with possible outputs of 400, 420 and 500hp. There is nothing official, but we also understand the new tractors will not be clones of Fendt’s 1000 series. As to the potential launch date, we are told to think Stage V engine emissions (2019/2020) at the very earliest. By Steven Vale
