Increasing the rated power to 650hp, the Stage V MTU engine is not the only update to the latest Katana, which has had a complete redesign of the crop flow to suit the new roller conditioner.
Increasing material flow capacity by 21%, Fendt claims that the Katana 650 now operates with 12% less fuel.
Other new features include BalancedGrip, which actively regulates the driving torque between the front and rear axles to provide more grip on steep slopes. The 650 also benefits from a continually adjusting sharpening knife grinding unit that is claimed to reduced maintenance costs.
