The new singling system on the Precea high-speed precision air drill is claimed to be accurate at speeds of up to 15km/hr. FertiSpot, for applying granular fertiliser while drilling singular seeds is new.
It has a fertiliser hopper and metering unit like traditional precision air drills, but instead of placing fertiliser in a row below seeds, applies it with pinpoint accuracy below individual seeds.
Fertiliser savings are reported to be around 25%. The Precea is initially available as (and power harrow mounted) 3.0m and 4.5m versions.
