AGCO is ‘shuffling the pack’ with several dealer changes taking place in the north of England and south Scotland. The changes will be effective from tomorrow and will be fully implemented by April next year.

Having had both Fendt and Massey Ferguson franchises, Carrs Billington is switching its full attention to just Massey from its current six depots (Annan, Barnard Castle, Carlisle, Hexham, Penrith and Morpeth). It will also be establishing a new premises in south west Scotland as Newton Stewart based Davidson Tractors is losing the Massey Ferguson franchise.

Valtra dealer Johnston Tractors is gaining Fendt for its Carlisle, Dumfries and Penrith depots. To the east, long standing Fendt dealer Brockhills of Yorkshire will extend its patch further north from its base in Thirsk.

Meanwhile Ancroft Tractors (which is both a Fendt and Massey dealer) gains a larger Fendt patch to the south of its two depots at Berwick-upon-Tweed and Kelso, which will meet up with Brockhills new area.

There is no change to PV Dobson which continues to sell both Fendt and Massey Ferguson in the north west.

“These new distribution arrangements are the latest changes that will strengthen brand dedication and continue to deliver market share growth for each of our brands” outlines Mark Casement, director distribution management for AGCO. “We have a clear strategic direction that places an emphasis on maximising brand exclusivity while always improving dealer viability, and we are pleased to make these changes while offering all our valued partners the opportunity to grow their business with us in the years ahead. We are confident that this focus will continue to develop the excellent customer-centred support that customers across the area enjoy and expect from our dedicated dealer partners.”
