AGCO Power is developing a new engine family at the Finnish plant in Linnavuori that will serve Valtra, Fendt and Massey Ferguson more effectively and offer future solutions to customers in the off-road machinery market.
The news follows a €100 million+ investment by AGCO since 2019 to overhaul the plant’s machining line and construct a new and expanded assembly plant and automated logistics centre.
In addition to streamlining the engine production process, the investment, which is on target to be completed next year, also paves the way for the development of the new engine family. This is expected to be ready by the end of 2022.
AGCO Power also manufactures engines at three other plants: Changzhou (China), Mogi das Cruzes (Brazil) and General Rodriguez (Argentina), with an overall capacity of over 100,000 engines per year.
