67,000…. that’s how many combine harvesters have rolled off the production line at AGCO’s Breganze plant in northern Italy. The milestone machine, a 360hp Massey Ferguson Beta 7370, was recently trucked to Sweden. AGCO has invested heavily at the 25ha facility in recent years, which in addition to the Beta, also manufactures Activa, Centora and Delta models. Some of the most recent developments at the 65,000m2 factory have seen a complete re-organisation of the supply chain and production process, the installation of new rolling and panelling machines, robot welding automated systems, and a state-of-the art paint-shop. MF combines have been made at Breganze since 2004. In June 2007, this partnership was further strengthened when AGCO acquired a 50% stake in Breganze-based Laverda S.p.A from the Italian Argo Group. The plant was fully acquired by AGCO in 2010.
