This year marks the 50th anniversary of Kubota in Europe. To mark the occasion, it will make 50 orange and black wrapped versions of the new M7004 tractors.

Other than the striking finish, the fourth generation of the three-model range, which was launched to the North American market at the Farm Progress show in August 2023, shares much of its spec with the outgoing M7003 series.

This includes the 6.1-litre four-pot Kubota engine, and the model numbers are unchanged: M7-134 (130/150hp), M7-154 (150/170hp) and M7-174 (170/175hp). The transmission options are the same: six-speed powershift or the stepless KVT, although the latter does gain updated pre-set droop settings for customisable transmission sensitivity and optimum fuel efficiency.

Main updates include the repositioned cooling pack at the front of the engine for better access to key components to simplify maintenance, and the new design of the fuel and DEF tanks with integrated steps makes it easier to get in and out of the cab.

Integrated within the tractor shuttle to stop and park safely, the automatic assisted parking brake is also new, and the K-Monitor benefits from a new processor that delivers expanded functionality and faster processing speeds.

The first UK appearance of the K7004 will be at the 2025 Lamma show, complete with anniversary livery. Prices are still to be announced.

Incidentally, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the M7. Launched in 2014, the first M7001s left the assembly line early 2015 at a new Kubota plant in Dunkirk, France. Previewed at Agritechnica 2017, the M7002 and was later superseded by the M7003 at the same German show in 2019.
