We were not sure whether to publish this one or sit on it until we were sent a sharper picture and more information. In the end, we decided to run with it, and it is possible to make out the contours of a two-row trailed offset potato harvester in this deliberately blurred image. Called the Torro, the new machine is described as both light and reliable and, according to Belgian manufacturer Dewulf, contains several innovative features to improve potato quality during harvesting. The company says it will release more details and better pictures of the harvester via social media in the run up to the official launch at Potato Europe in September.

A dedicated web page has also been launched that at some point will provide the first action footage of the new harvester. A limited pre-series of the Torro will be built this year and full production starts next year.
