Pöttinger is investing €25 million in a new grassland machinery assembly plant at St. Georgen, in Austria.

Roughly 5km from company HQ in Grieskirchen, the first construction phase, which will comprise around 6,300m² of workshop space (can be expanded), will start spring 2020.

When finished, it will be the new home for round baler and large rake assembly lines (both currently assembled in Grieskirchen), and production of the first machines is expected to start in the new plant latest 2021.

Underlining Pöttinger’s long-standing commitment to Austria as a business location, Gregor Dietachmayr, spokesperson for the management team, said that the company is investing in made in Austria quality.

“We want to build machines in a sustainable plant to achieve the best results and promote the solid growth of the company,” he said.
