We have to wait until Agritechnica to see the new Magnums but Case IH is using the French show to launch a four-model range of Versum CVXDrive tractors.
Slotting between the current four-pot Luxxum and Maxxum models, the newcomers share much of the interior technology with New Holland’s T5 Auto Command tractors, which were previewed at EIMA last November.
This includes the two-range CVT and the 4.5-litre and four-cylinder FPT Stage V blocks, which sees all the components required to meet the engine regs neatly packaged below the bonnet.
The four 100hp to 130hp models are described as compact premium versions available with all the features of a big tractor. Aimed at mixed livestock and dairy farms and contractors, the fuel tank holds 180 litres and the rear lift capacity is 5.6t. The optional factory-fitted front linkage/pto has a lift capacity of 2.3t.
