Massey Ferguson started selling the 9280 Delta in the UK in 2011, with its successor, the 9380, launched mid-2013 in time for harvest 2014. The 9280 was AGCO’s first ‘hybrid’ model, but early problems meant its reputation suffered. So, should you now avoid these and the later 9380 as a used buy?
If you were able to step back to Massey Ferguson’s launch of the then new 9280 Delta in the summer of 2010, there is every chance you could have mistaken it for an eight-walker 7380 Centora. That should be no great surprise as hybrid Delta models used the same chassis, cab, grain tank, drum and sieves as their walker siblings.
