Nokian Tyres and Valtra have set a world snow ploughing speed record with an unmanned (autonomous) T254 Versu tractor, which on a closed road in Southern Finland, last March, reached a top speed of 73.171km/hr (45.466mph).
Equipped with Nokian TRI tyres, this is the second world record in sub-zero conditions that has been set by the two Finnish manufacturers.
In 2015, they teamed up with rally legend Juha Kankkunen to set the current speed record for driving a tractor on ice at 130.165km/hr with a T234 Versu tractor.
