Kuhn Farm Machinery’s new 7m HR 7040 R folding power harrow is fitted as standard with an intelligent monitoring system which relays torque and oil temperature data from three gearboxes to the tractor cab so that the operator can monitor the machine’s operating parameters.
Sitting between the company’s existing 6 and 8m folding models, like its sibling machines, all components, including central and side gearboxes, casings, rotor drive, transmission units and oil circulation systems on the HR 7040 R are capable of withstanding the power and torque delivered by a 480hp tractor.
Capable of covering up to 100ha/day, the new model uses 3.5 rotors/m of working width, and rotor speed can be adjusted up to a maximum of 500rpm. Working depth and levelling bar indexing can also be adjusted from the tractor cab, which says Kuhn, enables the HR to work effectively in dry or wet and light or heavy soils. Prices of the 7m model, which is available with additional equipment including track eradicators and rollers, start from £47,348.
