Most reasonably equipped farm toolboxes contain a universal joint square socket drive for accessing nuts in fiddly corners. Occasionally, though, it would be extremely handy if these drive knuckles were just a fraction stiffer, so that they offered more resistance when being pushed on to the subject nut. This would reduce the risk of it buckling and, as a result, missing its target. One method of stiffening up the joint drive is to wrap it with several layers of insulating tape. Ultra low cost, ultra simple – and surprisingly effective. Stiffen up the joint drive with insulating tape for improved joint control.
