Telehandlers are getting bigger – to the extent that 5.0t lift models are no longer a rare sight in the UK. Merlo’s offering in this class is the TF50.8, a 5.0t/8.0m machine that is powered by a 156hp Deutz engine (Stage IIIB) through the firm’s new stepless transmission (two hydrostatic motors, one pump). Up top it boasts Merlo’s new cab, as does its sister model, the 4.5t/11m TF45.11.
