Pöttinger has taken the tried-and-trusted Dynatech rotor units and arms from its larger HIT tedders and packaged them on a new smaller trailed model – the six-rotor 6.80 T. With a working width of 7.45m, the manufacturer says the low-power requirement tedder is aimed at smaller farms using smaller tractors. Each of the 1.67m-diamter rotors is fitted with six curved tine arms, which the company says ensures optimum tedding quality and good ground tracking, while the swept-back design of the arms ensures crop cannot snag or wrap around the rotor. The spreading angle can be adjusted on each rotor in five steps – without needing any extra tools. The new tedder also features Hydrolift technology, which provides high ground clearance at headlands. Carried on large tyres, the 6.80 T folds to a transport height of 4m.
