Particularly clever is the way in which the machine’s two outer sections can be folded on top of the two inner sections to give extra soil penetration at a 7m working width — when working a tough headland, for example. Folding again delivers the Catros’s 3m transport width. The 510mm serrated discs can be set to till at 5-15cm depths, and power requirement is reckoned to be around 360-400hp to achieve a target cultivating speed of 12-15km/hr.
