French plough maker Gregoire Besson is replacing its R47 manual vari-width ploughs with the R6 family. Available with three types of leg protection — hydraulic auto reset, heavy-duty shear bolt or standard shear bolt — the R6 adopts most of the new-style features that already appear on many of Besson’s other plough lines. These include angled plough legs for easier pulling, shims instead of screws to alter plough angle, and the ability to work with the firm’s Andpak press. Price of the pictured five-furrow, complete with hydraulic auto-reset, is about £25,000.
