Bobcat has completed its agricultural telehandler range with three high flow machines. The TL34.65HF (3.4t/6.5m), TL38.70HF (3.8t/7.0m) and TL43.80HF (3.4t/8.0m) all use the V-Drive continuous transmission system.
Aimed at customers requiring a high-performance alternative to the standard transmission, V-Drive is said to provide a smoother, quieter and more efficient ride – free from jerks, even when hauling fully loaded trailers. Loader mode (up to 20km/hr) and drive mode (up to 40km/hr) hydrostatic speed ranges are still available. Both hydraulic speed ranges have been optimized.

Using dual hydraulic motors in series, V-Drive is said to maintain the same performance as the current gearbox.
Noise levels both inside and outside the cab have been reduced. Suspending the hydraulic motor with four rubber mounts has lowered vibration levels by 60%, and the whistle sound of the transmission has been eliminated. The hydraulic tank on the three new models has also been redesigned resulting in a higher capacity (70l instead of 59l in the current transmission).

All three V-Drive models are backed by a three-year warranty.
The following are all included in the base models, four Alliance 460/70R24 tyres, fan inverter with manual and auto modes, 7-inch touch display (Bluetooth radio with microphone), hand throttle and flex drive.
Smart functions available as standard in the base models include limiting the maximum speed on the farm or on the road. Stop & Start automatically stops the engine when idle, by pressing down on the throttle pedal or through a movement of the joystick. Cruise control is also standard, as is Eco-Ride, a new feature that allows the driver to optimize engine rpm once the travel speed has been reached.

“With the V-Drive models added to the existing range, Bobcat still offers the current gearbox transmission for the high flow models, so customers can choose between the existing gearbox system or the new V-Drive continuous transmission,” said Florian Hilbert, telehandler product manager for Bobcat EMEA.
