After more than 30 years in the company, 25 of which as joint managing director, Klaus Pöttinger will hand over his management responsibilities to new executive board members Jörg Lechner and Markus Baldinger, at the end of July. Mr Lechner assumes the responsibility for all production affairs in all three production plants (Grieskirchen, Bernburg and Vodnany) and the entire purchasing process. Mr Baldinger will be responsible for R+D, and Gregor Dietachmayr, a third new member of the executive board, will be responsible for sales and marketing. Heinz Pöttinger continues in his role as managing director of the Austrian family business. He will also act as chairman of the executive board, and will also be responsible for HR and finance and accounts. Despite the challenging conditions the 145-year-old business recorded a turnover of €320 million last year. The new executive board feels there are further growth opportunities to grow the business, particularly through increased exports. Caption: Klaus Pöttinger (right) with new executive board members (from left to right) Heinz Pöttinger, Markus Baldinger, Jörg Lechner and Gregor Dietachmayr.
