HE-VA has added a set of front mounted turbo discs to its Top Strigle straw harrow. Further intensify soil movement, the new discs are fitted to 3.0m-9.0m models.
Working directly behind the combine, the combination of discs and five rows of heavy-duty harrow tines penetrate the surface, resulting in a cost-effective implement to spread straw evenly across the field to assist with drilling as well as aiding in the battle against problem grass weeds.
The harrow also disturbs slug eggs exposing them to sunlight and destroying the next generation of mollusc pests before they emerge. Hydraulic tine angle adjustment means allows the aggressiveness of the harrow be changed on the move.
Designed to be operated at speeds of 15-25km/hr, HE-VA’s UK distributor Opico reckons that a 6.0m Top Strigle would ideally be mounted on a 155-180hp tractor. Prices start from £11,227.
